(More customer reviews)Season three boasts 28 episodes (the episode not listed in jon sieruga's excellent review/episode guide to this season is the 14th episode of this season, FAMMILY PLAN, where Uncle Bill breaks his leg during a skiing accident) and one truly sensational bonus feature. The special feature is a 30 minute "Family Affair Reunion Special" featuring Kathy Garver (who played Sissy), Sherry Alberoni (who played Sissy's bets friend and upstairs neighbor, Sharon), producer John Stephens and husband and wife writers Austin "Rocky" Kalish and Irma Kalish. The five sit in a semi-circle and chat for 30 minutes, offering lots of fascinating background information about the cast members (Irma remembers Brian Keith as never speaking to her on the set and Stephens remembers his prickly personality; Kathy adored him), the show's legacy and the interesting way the show was shot.
Each season the show got Brian Keith for just 65 days to shoot all his scenes for a season's worth of episodes. (The series was shot this way to give Keith time to keep filming motion pictures.) This meant that all the episodes had to be written before the season began and in most cases the episodes were filmed ahead of time, missing only the scenes that required Brian Keith. Producer Stephens remembers that when they were filmingw ith Keith, they would often work on 4 or 5 episodes in one day! He called its "organized chaos" and credits director Charles Barton, who filmed every episode.
We learn about Anissa Jones not being happy to still be dragging around her Mrs Beasley doll by season four when she was 12 (she was 9 years old in the first season when the twins were suposed to be 6) and both Stephens and Mr Kalish don't have positive things to say about her mother. On a more humorous note, we hear about Sebastian Cabot measuring the length of Keith's trailer to make sure it wasn't larger than his. We also find out that Cabot had broken his wrist during season one (which explains the bandages on his one hand in season one) and it required surgury, which is why John Williams replaced him in a handful of episodes that season. We also find out that the 3-part episode LOST IN SPAIN was totally filmed on the network's backlot, using sets from the TV series "From Rome With Love."
This is a wonderful, chatty and informative feature. Its too bad that no one could convince Johnny Whittaker ("Jody") to participate. It would be great to get a few commentary tracks with him and Garver in the fourth or fifth season.
This show is thought of as a sitcom, but its really much more of a drama-dy. You better have some tissues near when watching "Christmas Came A Little Early" where Buffy befriends a young homebound classmate (played by BRADY BUNCH's Eve Plumb) who has leukemia. And you have to admire the restraint and power of some of the more dramatic episodes of this season, especially "The Latch Key Kid" where Buffy's new friend, Lana, seems to live a very enviable life as a latch key kid who makes her own dinner and stays up as late as she wishes or "Albertine" where the twins try to get close to a new black student who's real life may be very different than what she presents.
This is a show that has been long out of syndication. Thanks to MPI, we have uncut episodes to treasure. (One small complaint, I wish the episodes had chapter breaks.) Well worth purchasing!

Mr. Belvedere: Seasons One & Two Review

(More customer reviews)Shout! has done another excellent job with their release of Mr Belvedere seasons one & two. The episodes are all the original network episodes, not syndicated cuts. The original opening credits have been restored, inculding the original pilot opening. No music is replaced. The video is for the most part fine. Occasionally there is a blurry spot but the show is over 20 years old. The audio sounds fine also, but occasionally the sound is slightly lower in some spots.
Now for the show itself. I watched this show when it originally aired and haven't seen it much in syndication since. My memory of the show is mostly from it's original network run. I loved the show then but wasn't mature enough to fully appreciate it's humor. After watching this set I enjoyed the show even more than I remembered. As an adult I can catch the adult jokes that I missed when I was a kid. This show is as entertaining to adults as it is to a younger audience. It holds up well. I watched episode after episode not wanting to come to the end and enjoying every second of it.
The set does have special features. There are interviews with the surviving cast members (minus Tracy Wells). They talk about how much fun they had on the show, including the pranks they played on each other. They talk of their fond memories and how they are still rmeembered to this day for their Mr Belvedere roles. Hopefully future sets will have an interview with Tracy Wells. The other special feature is the SNL Mr Belvedere fan club skit. That has nothing to do with the show, but it is hysterically funny. Tom Hanks is in it. The set also features two clips Family Guy in which Stewie sings the Mr Belvedere theme song. This is also mentioned in the interviews.
If anyone is on the fence about buying this set and worrying that they won't enjoy it as much as they remember, worry no more. The show is better than remembered. A few plots may be dated but as a whole the show stands up very well. You won't be disappointed.

Father Knows Best: Season Four (1958) Review

(More customer reviews)Although seasons 1-3 have been wonderful via SHOUTS! great dvd sets season 4 hits it out of the park from the great news on the back of the dvd box "all 33 Uncut episodes" to each of the episodes themselves. Many are excellent episodes and the rest are all very good television. A standout is MR BEAL MEETS HIS MATCH, this rarely seen episode which was never shown in the package that The Family Channel aired in the 1980's and early 1990's is a dark and sinister episode with a really good payoff. Another standout is the episode in which legendary actress Greer Garson guest stars. After watching the entire set you will feel sad there aren't any more episodes left in the set. The cast is now hitting their stride and totally believable as a family, Robert Young and Jane Wyatt turn in outstanding performances week after week, Billy Gray's perfomances were always on the mark and he could be comical and yet serious and displayed a great range as Bud as did Elinor Donahue as Betty, the entire crew are all working in tandem with the cast to turn out a show that has become along with LEAVE IT TO BEAVER a classic example of 1950's televsion and something that all of us have wished life was really like if only for 1/2 hour a day! Print quality is clear and sound is crisp on most of the episodes if not all again especially taking into account these shows have not been restored possibly because FKB has not been in syndication in years and it took a while to figure out where the rights to broadcast and home video really belonged - and thanks must go to SHOUT! for releasing the classic show along with thanks to Robert Young's grandson Bill Proffit, the estate of Eugene Rodney and SONY for opening ther vaults to SHOUT! so unedited episodes could be utilized! This is a prime example of the good that can come out of all parties working together - SONY is not profiting from the video release of the series having no home video rights but they have co-operated in supplying the uncut versions instead of cut syndication versions that were out there for years going back to the 1960's through 1990's!

However, I can't give this series any less than 5 stars simply because I'm so thrilled to have them available at last! Rather than reminisce about my vicarious childhood in Walnut Grove (which no one cares to hear), here are the episodes of Season Two, in case anyone wants to know exactly what they'll be buying. These episodes were first aired from September 10, 1975 to March 31, 1976.

Ugly Betty - The Complete First Season (2006) Review

(More customer reviews)In retrospect, the 2006-2007 television season debuted an unusually large number of first rate new series: HEROES, MEN IN TREES, 30 ROCK, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, DEXTER, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, and UGLY BETTY. That is a remarkably strong group of new shows. UGLY BETTY occupied a unique niche among them. The new show it most resembled was MEN IN TREES. Both were light fare, intended to entertain and charm rather than challenge and rattle. It was unorthodox, but in comforting ways. It was, basically, a very nice show. One never came away from any episode shocked or dismayed as with the best episodes of DEXTER or FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, but to tell the truth, after a week of watching my favorite shows on TV--BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, LOST, DEXTER, and others that were sometimes exceedingly emotional affairs to watch, I found it a refreshing change of pace, never shocking, never emotionally taxing, never intellectually demanding. It managed always to be smart while also very easy to absorb. Most of all, it was great fun.
The plot was simple. Betty Suarez desires a job in publishing. After she applies at MODE magazine, where she has a disastrous interview, she finds herself mysterious hired as assistant to editor Daniel Meade, playboy son of Meade Publishing owner Bradford Meade. It turns out that Bradford had seen her leaving the building and ordered her hired for his son simply because she is as far from a fashion model in appearance as can be imagined. She has terrible hair, dresses horridly, has garish braces, thick glasses (and eyebrows), and carries more weight than your standard attractive woman. Father makes her employment mandatory for his rare-do-well son. Very quickly, however, she proves herself not merely necessary for Daniel's professional life, but a good friend as well. One of the most attractive aspects of the show is, in fact, their genuinely caring, completely platonic, friendship. Working at MODE pulls Betty into a world of interoffice intrigue and political infighting. To be honest, I could have lived without any of the stories. The appeal was just about 100% based on a large number of likable and adorable characters popping up each week.
America Ferrera, who had previously been amazingly effective in the cult-hit film REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES and the teen chick flick THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS (a sequel to the latter is due in 2008), simply steals this show as Betty. Though not a slender actress, America in fact has a beautiful face. They do a great make up job on her, however, putting a terrible wig on her each week (with very stressed looking hair), gluing thick, fake eyebrows on her, giving her thick-framed, brightly colored glasses, fake braces, make up to give her an unpleasant complexion, and an incredibly unflattering set of clothes. Despite this dramatic transformation each week, Betty manages to be utterly charming and adorable. A couple of people I've talked to feel it is a bit of a cheat to have an attractive woman play someone who is supposed to be "ugly," but I think it would be a bit cruel to take an unattractive person and have them play such a role. I would be surprised if she does not get an Emmy nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy. Lauren Graham deserves to win in this category (as she does every year) for her genius work in THE GILMORE GIRLS, but since the Emmys year after year have ignored Graham (her show is on the wrong network), I will probably be pulling for America to win.
Ferrera is supported by an amazingly strong cast. Eric Mabius is wonderful as Daniel, consistently showing himself to be a decent guy despite his efforts to transform himself into a waste of humanity. I think there is a secret contract someone dictating that Alan Dale appear in every other show on TV in some capacity or other. He is his usual stern self as Bradford Meade (he also has a very occasional but ongoing role in LOST, the only show I've seen him on where he gets to use something like is native Kiwi accent). Vanessa Williams is a lot of fun as the scheming and unscrupulous Wilhelmina Slater, the fashion editor at MODE who would love to be the editor in chief. Ashley Jensen, who really is Scottish, plays the head of wardrobe at MODE and one of Betty's few friends at the magazine. But the people at MODE who make the show worth watching are Michael Urie and Becki Newton, who play Marc and Amanda, Wilhelmina's gay assistant and the mildly sluttish receptionist, both of them for most of the season Betty's mortal enemies (though by end of season she was making headway with both of them as friends, in particular Marc, inspiring him to come out to his mother). There is also Henry, winningly played by Christopher Gorham. He had previously played the title role in JAKE 2.0, on which UGLY BETTY executive producer Silvio Horta also worked. I suspect his appearing on UGLY BETTY has something to do with that connection. Gorham is a very good-looking guy who is somehow able to pull off completely nerdy guys, in this show an accountant.
But there is more than just the office. There is Betty's home life. Veteran character actor Tony Plana plays Betty's illegal immigrant father (one of the subplots deals with his attempt to get a green card). He is one of these actors who has appeared in literally hundreds of TV shows and movies, but has rarely had an especially prominent role. You love to see fine actors who have paid their dues get a great role like this one. Ana Ortiz is hysterical as Betty's garish sister Hilda, but the person who steals nearly every scene in the Suarez household is twelve-year old Mark Indelicato, who plays Betty's nephew Justin. We don't know that Justin is gay, but his effeminate swagger, his deep love of stage musicals, and his encyclopedic knowledge of fashion marks him with all of the stereotypes.
This show is too smart to be a guilty pleasure, but it is just as much fun as one. It doesn't go on my list of my absolute favorite shows. It isn't as sophisticated or as intelligent as FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, as engrossing as LOST, a fist-in-the-gut like DEXTER or THE WIRE, or as original or jaw-droppingly brilliant as BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, but sometimes you just aren't in the mood for something as heavy as these shows. Sometimes you just want to have a good time and relax. I promise there are few shows on television more perfect for that than this.

Home Improvement - The Complete First Season (1991) Review

(More customer reviews)I've only recently started to watch Home Improvement in syndication for the first time, and as soon as I got into it it has become one of my favourite sitcoms. The humoar is very original and the concept was very bright and fresh when it came along on ABC in 1991.
It wasn't just that that made it one of the most popular shows of the 90's, it was also the strengh of the characters. Tim Allen's portrayel of accident proned chauvanistic tool man Tim Taylor helps make the show along with his sidekick Al, wife Jill and three kids Brad, Randy and Mark.
This show also provided more realism than a lot of other shows of its kind, for example the relationship between the boys and their regular fighting seems a lot more true to life than other shows that often represent people as constantly loving and everything always patched up by the end of the show. Home Improvement still has many tender moments that are always well acted.
As well as the 24 episodes on this DVD set, you also get a gag reels of jokes from the show and a commentary by the creators. It's good to see that a lot of these sets now have extras and that the companies are going to the trouble of adding nice touches to the tv shows we know and love.
So overall, this set is one that you should definetly add to your collection, whether you want to re-discover the classic first season once again or watch this show for the first time and introduce it to your family who may not have been around then; either way you are very unlikely to be diassapointed! "I don't think so Tim!"

Arrested Development - Season Three (2003) Review

(More customer reviews)Unfortunately, I didn't get into Arrested Development until late in its second season. However, I was immediately hooked. I could see that it was a completely new kind of show, and far from your average sitcom. It's one of the few comedy series I've seen that is serialized, meaning that events of one episode carry over into the next episode. Also, it is probably the only comedy I know that, in addition to constantly referencing past jokes, it actually references FUTURE jokes! The show is done without a laugh track and is shot as a documentary, so the characters in the show sometimes react to the camera, and the camera sometimes reactions to situations in the show.
The second season ended brilliantly with George Bluth, Sr. (Jeffry Tambor) fooling authorities into arresting and incarcerating his twin brother Oscar (also Tambor). George's children Michael (Jason Bateman), GOB (Will Arnet), Lindsay (Portia de Rossi), and Buster (Tony Hale) vowed not to visit their "father" in prison for a few months so that he couldn't manipulate him. Meanwhile, Lindsay's husband Tobias (David Cross) left for Vegas with George Sr's secretary Kitty (Judy Greer) to join the Blue Man Group. Also, cousins George Michael (Michael Cera) and Maeby (Alia Shawkat) shared their first passionate kiss. Season three starts off Michael going to prison to visit his "father" for the first time in 3 months to tell him that the Bluth Developing Company is bouncing back. While there, he realizes that it is really Oscar behind bars, so he takes his son George Michael on a hunt for the real George Sr. Upon finding him, the government allows George Sr. to remain under house arrest so that he can reconnect with his wife Lucille (Jessica Walter). George immediately regrets the decision. Meanwhile, GOB is unknowingly reunited with his illegitimate son Steve Holt (Justin Grant Wade), a classmate of George Michael and Maeby who began searching for his father in the previous year after GOB made fun of him for not having a father (IRONY!). This starts a great arc involving GOB and Steve who are the perfect duo until GOB realizes who Steve really is.
Soon, Michael starts dating a British woman named Rita (Charlize Theron) whom he meets while investigating his father's claim that a British building company set him up to take the fall for building some houses in Iraq. As Michael's relationship with Rita develops, we learn that there may be more to her than she is saying, especially since her creepy "uncle" Trevor (Dave Thomas) follows the couple around everywhere.
As the season develops, viewers finally find out the (most probable) cause of death for Michael's late wife Tracy, Tobias gets hair plugs, which nearly kill him, J. Walter Weatherman (Steve Ryan) makes his triumphant return, and one of the greatest "gimmick" episodes of televions ever is created. The episode S.O.B.s, which stands for Save Our Bluths, is a parody of the various gimmicks that television shows use to get more ratings. There are numerous guest stars, most of whom are only on-screen for about a second, numerous references to the much-more-popular Desperate Housewives, a live segment, some 3D segments, and even a death! In the commercial for the episode right before it aired (which is fortunately included in the set, because it adds humor to the episode and not seeing it would make one of the Narrator's lines a little confusing), announcers said that "one of these characters would die", and there was a quick montage of most of the main characters and a few side characters. Turns out that the person who died was introduced in that episode and may not have even had a line of dialogue. Also, a lot of fans were hoping that HBO or Showtime would pick the show up, and there were allusions to that speculation in the episode.
The last four episodes of the season may be some of the best in the show's history. Featuring guest stars such as Judge Reinhold, William Hung (in probably his greatest use ever), Justine Bateman (Jason's sister), Richard Belzer (playing his Detective John Munch character), and Ron Howard, making his first on-screen appearance on the show, we finally find out the truth about George Sr's crimes, and Annyong Bluth (Justin Lee) delivers one of the finest twists imaginable.
While the season started off a little slow, it became amazing, and, despite it's brevity, may be the best season of the show. Every episode from "The Ocean Walker" to "Harboring Resentment" (also known as "Development Arrested") were pure gold. The show's writers are all geniuses. I don't know where some of the jokes were coming from, but they sure know how to come up with some hilariously bizarre situations. The year, in addition to coming up with great new jokes, expanded a lot on past jokes. One of my favorites was that GOB's puppet Franklin became an actual character in a sense, as opposed to a gag. Franklin even has his own fanbase now (I'm one of them). Unfortunately, due to the fact that the season was cut down to 13 episodes, there were plenty of things that the writers weren't able to do. In the season premiere, there allusions to Buster getting a new hand, after losing it to a seal last year (pay attention to the scene when GOB and Steve Holt meet up for the first time).
After all three seasons of unsuccessful ratings, FOX finally killed the show. While I am very upset, I guess I have to hand it to FOX for sticking with the show for so long (from a ratings stand-point, it should have been killed after season 1). They believed in its greatness enough to give it so many chances (oddly, they didn't really advertise for it, which probably hurt the ratings), and at least it went out still at the top of its game. There are still rumors going around that Showtime is planning on picking it up, so we may yet see some more of this great show. If not though, at least the writers tied up all the loose ends and even hinted at a possible movie. If you've never seen Arrested Development, it is beyond worth checking out. It is my favorite comedy show of all time, surpassing even mainstream hits like The Simpsons and Seinfeld as well as the quirky and underrated Scrubs. You will not regret buying this set.

Here Come the Brides - The Complete First Season (1968) Review

(More customer reviews)I rejoice at our collective good fortune that Sony is releasing the all-too-short-lived 60's TV smash hit, "Here Come the Brides," on DVD. All 26 episodes that comprised the first season, including the pilot, are included in this six-disc boxed set. The only special feature listed to be included are "bonus previews." This release is even more amazing considering the show has never before been released to the public in ANY format since its initial run!!
The show, which aired for only two seasons from 1968-70 on ABC with a total of 52 episodes, launched the careers of teen heart-throbs Bobby Sherman and David Soul. Sherman, who was also a pop singer, became an international superstar predating David Cassidy's Partridge Family mass popularity. (Sherman made news in the 90s when he was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician in Los Angeles.) Soul went on to further TV fame co-starring in Starsky and Hutch (as well as for some later well-publicized legal troubles involving domestic violence charges, etc.)
Set in Seattle in the 1870's, the series focused on the travails of the logging Bolt brothers. To avoid losing their male crew, they were forced to agree to bring in 100 prospective brides from Massachusetts, using money they borrowed from sawmill owner, Aaron Stempel. Should any one of the women decide to go home, or should the camp fail to meet Stempel's timber quotas, the Bolts would forfeit their title to the mountain and the business that had been in their family for generations.
The core cast includes Robert Brown as eldest brother, Jason Bolt; Soul as middle brother, Joshua Bolt; Sherman as youngest brother, Jeremy Bolt; Mark Lenard as Stempel (and who went on into TV immortality as Sarek, Spock's father, in Star Trek: The Original Series and its later movies, most notably, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home); the incomparable movie actress Joan Blondell as saloon owner Lottie Hatfield; Bridget Hanley as Candy Pruitt, leader of the "brides" and Sherman's love interest in the show; Susan Tolsky as goofy Biddie Cloom; Henry Beckman as Capt. Roland Francis "Fish-Face" Clancey, Blondell's love interest in the show; and Bo Svenson as Big Swede.
In the pilot, to keep their logging crew, the Bolt brothers end up literally betting their mountain to that they can bring 100 marriageable women back to Seattle, which has almost no women in residence, and that those women will remain in Seattle for a year. In exchange, Stempel funds their expenses. Jason Bolt travels to New Bedford, Mass., a town that had a shortage of men at the time, and enlists 100 women for the return trip to the Pacific Northwest. (Ironically, the episode evolved from a script originally intended as a movie musical. Among the stars considered were Burt Lancaster and Shirley Jones, soon of the Partridge Family. According to the Classic TV Archive, the storyline is loosely based on Seattle's history when a resident went to Massachusetts to bring back women to help civilize the Washington Territory, and was NOT based on "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.")
In addition to the pilot, episodes that comprised the first season and that are collected in their entirety in this boxed are (thanks to another reviewer, I have corrected two titles I incorrectly reported): A Crying Need; And Jason Makes Five; The Man of the Family; A Hard Card to Play; Letter of the Law; Lover and Wanderers; A Jew Named Sullivan (not a politically-correct title); A Man and His Magic; A Christmas Place; After a Dream Comes Morning; The Log Jam; The Firemaker; Wives for Wakendo; A Kiss Just for You; Democracy Inaction; One Good Lie Deserves Another; One to a Customer: A Dream that Glitters; The Crimpers; Mrs. and Mrs. J. Bolt; A Man's Errand; Loggerheads; Marriage Chinese Style; and The Deadly Trade.
The series also boasted one of the best theme songs ever (which Sherman recorded on his debut album.) The following is the rousing chorus: "The bluest skies you've ever seen, in Seattle, and the hills the greenest green, in Seattle. Like a beautiful child, growing up, free and wild, full of hopes and full of fears, full of laughter, full of tears, full of dreams to last the years, in Seattle. When you find your own true love, you will know it, by her smile, by the look in her eyes...scent of pine trees in the air...look out everyone, Here Come the Brides!"
Let us hope that Sony does not keep us waiting too long for the second season DVD boxed set! I'm sure the popularity of this release, and the DVD releases of the Big Valley and the Wild, Wild, West are sending strong messages to studio execs that there is a huge, appreciative and paying audience for vintage TV westerns. Hopefully, The High Chaparral is next in line for DVD release in complete season boxed sets!

1.Double Trouble
Becky and Jesse go to the doctor and find out that they're going to have more than one baby.
2.Matchmaker Michelle
(Will you marry my daddy?) Michelle sets out on a journey to find Danny a wife so she can have a mommy. Jesse tries to change the image of his band which takes a wild turn. The Tanners are stuck with Kimmy when a school project is for 2 people to switch houses for a day.
3.Take My Sister, Please
DJ makes a plea to the guys for her to get her own room. But the decision is almost overturned when Michelle decides she doesn't want to live with Stephanie either so Steph moves into the bathroom. Jesse tries to survive Becky`s pregnancy hormones. Jesse and Becky begin taking birthing classes.
4.Oh Where, Oh Where Has My Little Girl Gone
A girls reputation can be made or broken with one small lie. DJ finds this out the hard way when a boy she wouldn't kiss starts spreading rumors about her.
5.The King and I
Family should always come first. Jesse forgets this when gets wrapped up in trying to write a song. He looses his temper and doesn't join the family in their annual picnic.
6.The Legend of Ranger Joe
Tap shoes and bear hugs are the key in this episode. Michelle inherits a pair of tap shoes which she won't stop tapping in. And Joey is going for a job and when he gets it he sends a hug-a-gram to the man who hired him not knowing the guy is afraid to be touched.
7.The Volunteer
DJ befriends a elderly man in a nursing home that she volunteers at. When she brings him home he gets confused and DJ doesn't understand why.
8.Gotta Dance
Many times a child has a dream, but once they get into the process of fulfilling that dream it turns out its not what they want any longer as Steph learns in this episode.
9.Happy Birthday, Babies (1)
The Tanners remind Michelle just how special she is to them when anxiety sets in for Michelle because her baby book is now done when she turns 5.
10.Happy Birthday, Babies (2)
Dino (Also known as Danny) has to fill in for Jesse during Becky's labor as he is taken away for surgery himself. Feeling disappointed because everyone left her on her birthday for the birth of the twins, Michelle realizes that she isn't the baby anymore.
11.Nicky and/or Alexander
Does it make you a bad dad if you can't tell your twins apart? Taking the booties off the twins makes Jesse not able to tell Nicky and Alex apart.
12.Bachelor of the Month
Being (Bachelor of the Month) goes to Danny's head and has a negative effect on the Tanner household.
13.Easy Rider
("If at first you don't succeed try, try again") That is the lesson for Michelle when she it trying to learn to ride her bike without training wheels.
14.Sisters in Crime
DJ takes Stephanie and Michelle to the movies with her and Steve. She has Kimmy lie for her, and when they get sent home, has Stephanie and Michelle lie so she doesn't get in trouble.
15.Play It Again, Jess
Jesse has to learn the hard way that he and Becky are a team and no matter what they are in it for the long haul. Even if it means Jesse has to be a stay at home dad.
16.Crushed
Stephanie freaks out when she sees Tommy Page at her birthday party. Too bad he likes DJ more.
17.Spellbound
Stephanie advances to the finals for best speller in her class. After she comes in second place, she challenges the winner to a rematch.
18.Too Much Monkey Business
Danny's sister shows up at the Tanner household with her pet monkey. Joey finds himself attracted to her but Danny isn't happy about the whole thing.
19.The Devil Made Me Do It
Michelle starts to learn that she cannot break the rules without some sort of consequence. This is hard for Michelle to understand so she runs away. Meanwhile, D.J. tries to help settle an argument between Kimmy and Stephanie.
20.Driving Miss D.J.
Teaching DJ to drive is no easy task for Danny. That means he has to face the fact that DJ is growing up. He's not quite ready to let go yet.
21.Yours, Mine and Ours
Nothing is more embarrassing to DJ then being seen out on a weekend night with her family. And the Tanners get plenty of exposure on this night out.
22.The Trouble with Danny
Danny finds out how the family feels about his cleaning obsession and has to take a hard look at his life.
23.Five's a Crowd
A drive in Movie isn't meant for a date and their 3 dads. This is what happened to DJ when she went on a date to a drive in. Jesse, Joey and Danny show up in the back seat of the van.
24.Girls Will Be Boys
Michelle feels left out because she is not one of the boys. Jesse is seen wearing a lumberjack outfit and DJ threatens to get back at Stephanie for eavesdropping.
25.Captain Video (1)
Sometimes selling a record recorded the wrong way is not worth selling. Jesse is stuck on his career path so the Beach Boys come over to the Tanners to see if they could help out.
26.Captain Video (2)
When Jesse turns down Fat Fish Records to record "Forever" as a fast dance number instead of a ballad he gets some help from a very special member of the Tanner family to make that choice.
