(More customer reviews)You cannot stop watching until the end of the story. It is better to have season 1 and 2. Season 1 is just complete half the puzzle. Besides the fighting scene, the entire scene is skillfully written. The character design is so beautiful.

If it's lost, they'll get it back.Doesn't sound difficult, but when you throw in strange mutant powers and back it up with one of the top manga franchises in North America, it's easy to understand why Get Backers is such a fan favorite anime series!

(More customer reviews)INTRO: To put it simply, I do not know why this is still being sold. This DVD set was released by Pioneer when they originally had the rights to DBZ. They edited the series so bad that its down below an average kid's level of watching. This DVD set contains English-only episodes without the original Japanese audio tracks, so don't bother with it if you are a Dragon Ball Z otaku. Normally I would go into detail about the DVDs but why bother in this case?
SUGGESTION: Toei in Japan is planning on releasing the original Dragon Ball Z episodes on DVD in mid 2003 and will be in two complete DVD box sets. Each box set will contain 26 discs and split the series in half. Whether or not they will have english at all on the dvds is too far to tell right now. Each box set will cost a whopping 850$ though, so it might turn off some buyers. My suggestion if you're not willing to shell out 1000$+ for DBZ on DVD at once, just buy the US DVDs, they have unedited versions of the original Japanese episodes as well as the new English version. Also, FUNimation (the new holder of DBZ in america), has obtained the rights to do the first saga of DBZ over and uncut (fixing what Pioneer did). So hopefully this little suggestion essay wasn't too confusing. Well, good luck!

(More customer reviews)I'm reviewing the economy boxset season 1 of Rurouni Kenshin. So to start off, what's an economy boxset? It's a boxset that is manufactured to be sold cheaper. Instead of having to buy it for $139.95, you can purchase it for $79.95. All 6 dvds are contained in one dvd case. They still have the japanese and english audio tracks. Some people complain about the subtitles not fitting the english dub. The reason is that the subtitles were made ONLY to fit the japanese audio track. The extras are the same as the $139.95 boxset. There are no custom sleeves for each dvd and no deluxe box to hold them in. That is what makes this one cheaper.
NOTE: THIS IS THE SAME AS THE Rurouni Kenshin Wandering Samurai - Premium Box 1. I think the economy boxset is the better buy because the only difference are the collectable sleeves and box.
